"Look at the donut, not the hole." ...age-old advice from one of my former coaches, reminding us to look at what we have, not what we don't

Remember, Babe Ruth may have been one of the great homerun hitters of all time, but he also struck out a lot, too. The job search is just like that, especially in this economy. Keep getting back up there and swinging for the fence!

Attention, MAA's!

Medical Students,

Lutheran Social Services has openings for Resident Assistants at its Kelly Drive facility in York.  Apply for these openings at their website:  https://www.lutheranscp.org/employment/opportunities .

I've had at least one student who used the Resident Assistant position to build positive work experience as a springboard into a medical assistant position.

Give it some thought!

Re-Post Due to a Mistake: Strand Capital opening

Attention, MAA's!

One of our recent graduates, a lady who did her internship at Davita Dialysis in Lancaster, just called and informed me that Davita has an opening for a medical assistant.  They called asking if she'd be interested, but since she has obtained employment here in York, she wasn't.

The student said Davita is a great place to work and highly recommends it to anyone interested.  The contact information is
  • (717) 735-5451 Updated Phone number:  361-0151
  • 2110 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601.
Maybe a cold--no, make that a "warm"--call is in order???  Go for it, MAA's!

PT Job Opportunity

Students,

Last week I got a call from a woman who lives in West York.  She is looking for individuals to help her as a personal care assistant.  She suffers from MS and needs help around her home with cleaning, laundry, shopping, and other duties.  Likewise, she needs people who can help with taking her to appointments or other obligations.  She is willing to pay $9.50 per hour for help.  Ideally, she wants individuals who have a car, are age 18 or older, are able to follow directions well, and can respect confidentiality.

Maybe it could be a good resume builder?

If interested, contact Terri directly at 717-659-2996.
