"Look at the donut, not the hole." ...age-old advice from one of my former coaches, reminding us to look at what we have, not what we don't

Remember, Babe Ruth may have been one of the great homerun hitters of all time, but he also struck out a lot, too. The job search is just like that, especially in this economy. Keep getting back up there and swinging for the fence!

Don't Forget the Employment Agencies as a Resource

NOTE:   Good morning!  As I am off tomorrow, today's blog will be the last posting for this week.  Check back on Monday for additional blog postings that are chock-full of leads!

I've been talking to some local staffing / employment agencies as of late, and I wanted to remind all of you to utilize those services as part of your job search process.  Remember that many staffing agencies hire not only temporary workers but also direct hire or temp-to-hire employees.  Furthermore, it could be a good way to earn some money in the interval between finishing your schooling and gaining full time employment.  Plus, you never know when one of these jobs, even if it isn't a direct hire position, could lead you into a job that you really like.  And you'll be building positive work experience and developing contacts that could help even more down the road!  That is, after all, the power of networking.

Thursday and Friday's Leads

Have a great day--and enjoy your weekend!  I'll be posting again next week!
