Thursday's Leads

We had an advisory board luncheon yesterday at our school, and some of the advisory board members who came shared some important details about their hiring practices.  Here are two vital points of our discussion that I can share with you:

  1. Lock down  / clean up your social media accounts...many employers are looking at social media as a "first line" screening method.
  2. If you have issues that are barriers to your employment--a termination, a criminal record, etc--be upfront and honest about it when asked.  All the employers said they were very unhappy when people didn't take responsibility for their mistakes.
