"Look at the donut, not the hole." ...age-old advice from one of my former coaches, reminding us to look at what we have, not what we don't

Remember, Babe Ruth may have been one of the great homerun hitters of all time, but he also struck out a lot, too. The job search is just like that, especially in this economy. Keep getting back up there and swinging for the fence!

Attention, Medical Students!

I received this job lead from a former student who is working.  I recommend you do a cold call to this place if you are interested.  You can act as if you know nothing about the opening and you are just calling to express an interest.  Here is the text of the email.  Note that it is a part-time position!

I received an email from a Doctor's office that I applied to back in May. I am not interested, but maybe you would have somebody in mind for the position. It is a part time (Mon, Wed, & Fri) front office position at Family Medicine Associates of York, 54 S Forrest St, York, phone 792-1811. The office manager's name is Ellen Essock.

Now put those cold calling skills to work!
