- Use all available avenues/resources. Don't just apply online. You should also be doing resume drop offs, cold calls, and employment agency registrations (and follow-ups).
- Be proactive and assertive with employment agencies if you register with them (and you should register with several for best results). Don't let them forget about you!
- Don't be afraid to try new things. Remember this anonymous quotation: "One cannot discover new oceans if he is afraid to lose sight of shore."
- Don't give up, even when you are frustrated and feeling blue. Unfortunately, the times aren't what they were five or ten years ago when there weren't enough students with degrees for the jobs that were available. Right now, it's just the opposite.
