Detailed Overview of job responsibilities?:  The qualified candidate will be responsible for: • Answering telephones, routing callers, taking messages, and providing routine information to callers. • Greeting and registering patients in accordance with established policies and procedures. • Scheduling patient appointments within established parameters. • Maintaining patient database with updated information. • Performing billing functions, including recording patient information, preparing and submitting patient charge vouchers, and processing insurance information. • Collecting copays and coinsurance. • Obtaining authorization from insurance companies for services. • Preparing and maintaining records of patient charges. • Creating medical records for new patients. • Scheduling meetings for Director. • Entering and/or retrieving data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications. • Assisting Director on various tasks. • Completing transcription as needed.
