"Look at the donut, not the hole." ...age-old advice from one of my former coaches, reminding us to look at what we have, not what we don't

Remember, Babe Ruth may have been one of the great homerun hitters of all time, but he also struck out a lot, too. The job search is just like that, especially in this economy. Keep getting back up there and swinging for the fence!

A Slew of Wednesday's Leads: Never Give Up

For all of us who grew up watching Charlie Brown, we always shook our heads in dismay as he tried to kick the football, only to have it pulled away over and over again.  If you are like me, you wanted to yell, "Charlie Brown, don't do it!  She's going to pull the ball away again!" and you were perplexed by his refusal to give up.  But maybe Charlie Brown's insistence on continuing to try, even in the face of repeated failures, is a positive trait.  Maybe we should all refuse to give in to failure and to let it determine our next set of actions.  If we never try again, then we're only as good as our last attempt, and we'll never experience--or appreciate--the taste of success unless
we fail a few times in the process.
Have a great day!
