"Look at the donut, not the hole." ...age-old advice from one of my former coaches, reminding us to look at what we have, not what we don't

Remember, Babe Ruth may have been one of the great homerun hitters of all time, but he also struck out a lot, too. The job search is just like that, especially in this economy. Keep getting back up there and swinging for the fence!

Thursday's Leads--For the Patient and Wise

I saw this picture on a graduate's Facebook page, and I thought it was so appropriate for job seekers.  Like the dog in the picture, we all need to demonstrate patience, the patience to "wait out" the storm and understand that no potential employer moves at the speed we want them to move.  We need wisdom, too; wisdom to know what we can control in the job search process--and then to control those variables. And wisdom, too, to realize that sometimes there are elements we cannot control, and we cannot let them discourage us or get us down.

So have some patience and wisdom, Job Seekers, and don't get sprayed!

Have a great day!
